The Zoo

Well we did it..We made it to the zoo this year prior to this new little babe coming into the family. I really pushed hard to get it in before I got too huge and it got too hot. It ended up being the PERFECT day. The weather was great and the animals were so active. Beckham had such a great time. He LOVES animals and calls them all by theirDisney names ;) Kids truly are so innocent and fun- they make life worth living. Becks favorite were the monkeys bouncing all over their cages he kept wanting to touch them and giggled at their every move. After the zoo we drove down to the Mayan Restaurant in South SLC it is one of Becks favs as well - the atmosphere is dark, full of trees and waterfalls, and people jump every so many minutes. LOVE IT!!! The food isn't bad either ;)

More Fun Photos of Becks!!!

Okay I know I may be prejudice but isn't my little guy so stinkin handsome?? I LOVE little church outfits on him!! He is getting too big too fast!! Beckham is truly one of a kind and I feel SO blessed to have him in my life - being a mom is such an amazing opportunity of growth and happiness. Some fun little updates on him....The child knows sign language and it is adorable (baby einstein videos are the best). He is fascinated with balls- soccer, basketball, baseball- you name it he has to have it and is quite coordinated for his age. He just may be a little man of sports. He loves to help his momma clean up the house- he is a great little helper. He loves to give kisses which Darren and I love. He still LOVES to climb EVERYTHING in sight (he scares me daily I honestly cannot take my eyes off the boy). He loves trucks. He is loving nursery- he is a little social bug (like his momma). He loves books (like his daddy). He is not a fan of riding in the stroller or grocery carts anymore- he likes to be SO big and independent (this makes for some tough trips out at times:) I find as long as I bring him a sucker I am good to go :) The best thing about this age is the fun things they say out of nowhere- he is getting quite the little vocabulary going. He is just plain growing up. As for D and I we are just sucking it all in. Darren in still working VERY hard at school - he just made the Deans List for the U of U and is one of the top students in his classes. SO SMART!! I love my husband and am SO SO proud of his determination and preserverance. We cannot wait for graduation and are seeing that light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you to all our family and friends who constantly keep us going and support us through everything. Love you all!!

A preggo photo with a preggo update!!

I am officially 30 weeks pregnant and fortunately I am feeling pretty good. Maybe it is because my sweet little toddler keeps me on my toes so much I don't have time to think about the pregnancy as much. I do LOVE my ultrasounds and seeing my new little babe grow (even in the womb- they melt my heart). Two boys will bring some serious change into my life, but I am ready to take in on. I ABSOLUTELY adore Beckham and can't wait to love on another little man. I feel SO blessed. Beckham is excited as well ( I think) he is so stinkin cute with me- he loves to kiss my belly and point to the baby. It makes me feel so good knowing he will soon have a little brother to play with - I am so big on him having little friends and now he will have one daily :).

VACUUMING

I have so much fun posting things about my little Beckham- everyday its something new. Yesterday afternoon I was taking care of a few things when I heard Beckham getting out my vacuum cleaner (this boy LOVES to vacuum) he does have his own little cleaner, but today he decided to give mine a try. After pushing my vacuum down the hallway and into the living room he began picking up his toys and placing them up on the couch so NOTHING was left on the floor. After this he unwrapped the cord pushed the release button on the vacuum and began pushing it all around the room a few minutes later he wrapped the cord back up tight (don't ask me how he knew how in the world to do that??) and said "All done mom" he then proceeded to push the vacuum back down the hall and into its place. I was in shock- He is WAY to smart for his own good !!! He must appreciate a clean house like his momma ;).

Beckham is ALMOST 2

Just a few fun pics of our sweet Beckham with a few of the things Beckham loves. He loves his snow boots (he even took them to bed a few times) and he loves his U of U beanie because he gets to look like his daddy. He is getting so big it seems crazy how fast they grow up.

Time is Flying By

I honestly don't know where to start!!! I have become the queen of slackers when it comes to my blog this year. Maybe I could blame it on the pregnancy brain ;). Because much has happend and gone unrecorded I am just going to start fresh and begin from where I am as of this week. So far so good in the preggo department- the baby boy is doing WONDERFUL. I had my target appointment in January and the doctor said everything looked perfect- which is always comforting to hear. I am just barely over 6 months but its seems to be getting closer by the minute. I have to admit that I am a little nervous (okay kind of a lot nervous) to add another baby to the mix but I LOVE being a mom and feel that this second time around will be much less stressful. As far as my sweet little Beckham is concerned I just have to say that I LOVE this boy!!! What a joy it is being his mother and getting to be home with him everyday and experience all his personalities and quirks. He truly is a special kid. I personally think he is SO smart for his age. He never ceases to amaze me and always has me laughing. He is a happy happy little boy. I actually have a few funny stories that occurred just this week. I will start off with Monday.

Monday..I had just gotten out of the shower (I was literally in for 5 minutes or less) as I came around the corner to the kitchen area I could hear him out on the couch he was saying..Mmmmmm Mom Mmmmmm. I thought to myself in that minute I didn't give him any snacks. I headed out to see what he had placed in his bowl only to find out that he was munching on some of skittles dog food (YUCKY) I quickly grabbed it from him and with a HUGE smile on his face he kept saying Mmmm Mom Mmmm I could not help but laugh. From now on skittles dog bowl will have to be kept WAY out of Beckham's reach:).
Tuesday.. I set the wipes container in the middle of the living room floor and stated to Beckham that I was going to grab a diaper so we could get him changed and head out the door. A second later I returned with the diaper only to find a missing wipes container. I thought in that moment I was losing my mind- I looked all over the living room and could not find it anywhere. A few minutes later I heard Beckham shutting the door to his bedroom - I headed back and asked him if he knew where the wipes were - he just looked at me all innocent and told me no. I then began searching his bedroom and after a few minutes I found them shoved under the stairs of his slide at the very back of his room. The second I pulled the container from its hiding spot started running faster than I have seen him run in awhile :). This is why I tell you my child NEVER ceases to amaze me. I could not help but laugh. He hates having his diaper changed (looks like we may start potty training sooner than later afterall).
Soooo many funny stories I could tell you about Beck's he is the ABSOLUTE LOVE of Mine and Darren's life. We are grateful everyday to be blessed with his little spirit in our home.
As far as Darren is concerned things are coming along very well. He is just about to finish another semester of school at the U- We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel..YAY!! We (Beckham and I) are SO grateful for Dad and all he does for our little family. What a hard worker he is. He just found out he made the Dean's list for the U of U (We LOVE you dad and are so proud of you) The many sleepless nights will soon be coming to an end for Darren. With only 2 semesters remaining we are beginning to see all this hard work paying off and are SO excited to start a new chapter in our lives.
As you can see time has been flying by us.. I say this every time I blog but I truly hope to keep up at a more steady pace from here on out (keep your fingers crossed) :) I love you all. I feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends. I feel blessed to be where I am at in life right now. D and I know we are and continue to be watched out for - we are grateful for the gospel and have no doubt in our minds that it has helped us achieve the many goals we have set and continue to set for our future family. LOVES!!! Bye Bye for now!!!
