GOOD TIMES IN JULY

Well July has almost come and gone..Summer seems to be flying by us..We have had such a fun filled month. Starting with the 4th- With Beckham being a bit older this year we were excited to let him experience some of the things we both loved as children. First thing that morning we headed to the parade which wasn't quite how I imagined it to be. Beck had a hard time being held while all the cousins were out in the road running for candy--he is still a bit young to be let loose-- the child has no fear and would have taken off.  Next year should be a better year he will be out there with the rest of them filling his bags with candy :) After the parade we headed out to Grandpa and Grandma Bennetts for food and fireworks..Beckham loved the fireworks he wanted to be right up front viewing the action the sparklers were a pretty big hit as well Beck was REALLY interested in that little sparkle and reached for it every time one was lit.. As for the BIG fireworks at the park..they were a no go- baby bubba fell asleep prior to them even getting off the ground..At least we made the attempt right?!?! A couple weeks further into July Darren and I took Beck back down to the Childrens Museum for some more fun and excitement- I think Darren liked it more than Beckham :) We had a great time just hanging out together as a family.. Soon enough the 24th crept upon us and the family all packed up and headed to the cabin in Bear Lake. It was such a great time my Mom, Dad, Grandma Louise, Shane, Chelsea, kids, Rich, Lorri, Zach, Josh, and Ashley all came to join the fun. Friday all the men went golfing so us ladies and kiddos headed to the beach for some fun in the sun. We had quite the adventure- between hiking through mini swamps to find beach, wind, wind, oh and more wind, tubes flying in every direction, and 2 pairs of broken flip flops- it will definitely be a day to remember. Beckham did love the water though he loved the waves they actually put him to sleep within 20 minutes..CrAzY.. I need to have one of those closer to home ;) Day 2 brought on much better weather the whole fam actually came to the beach this time which made things a little less chaotic..Beckham had a blast in the sand and water he truly LOVES the beach. I was a bit shocked that nothing ended up in his mouth -obviously a good shocked :) We were just happy seeing him so happy..After a long day at the beach we headed back to the cabin for dutch oven chicken and potatoes..YUMMY thanks to Rich and Lorri that meal was AWESOME!! After dinner we all had a crazy hair to rent some bikes down at the harbor..Now these bikes aren't just any bikes - they are four seater bikes with a basket up front for baby Beck to sit in..Can I just say BLAST I honestly think I almost pee'd my pants laughing I will definitely do that again.. All in all so many good times this month.. I absolutely LOVE my family and am grateful every day for them and the happiness they add to my life..

Like Father Like Son

These are some big shoes to feel right?!?! ;) Beckham absolutely LOVES shoes (just like his dad) any and every pair left out of the closet are on his feet within seconds and amazingly enough they always end up on the right feet. This is what happens when mom is away..The boys play :)

THE CHILDRENS MUSEUM

What a Fun day we had today!! Nikki  and Aaron were in town for the 4th of July so Cathy came up with a great plan to take all the grandkids and cousins down to the Children's Museum at the Gateway in SLC. My mom had the day off, Chelsea came with both Ryker and Tylee, Lorri, Ashley, Jamie, Conner and the new baby joined the fun, and last but not least Cathy came with Nikki and Chloe. This museum is such a neat place to take kids..they all had a BLAST!! There were 4 floors of fun for all ages. Beckham and his cousins had the opportunity of driving cars, filling there own cars with gas, climbing into tree houses, going to there own little grocery stores, riding a horse, playing dress up (as cowboys of course), exploring a life flight helicopter, creating there own art projects, experiencing the Channel 5 News desk and SOO much more.  Beckham couldn't keep himself contained he was in heaven. After the Museum we had lunch and walked down to the fountains at the Gateway..the kids all got a kick out of the water and loved getting wet..Thanks to Cathy for this great suggestion today. I will definitely visit again soon..
