DAY AT THE ZOO

Beckham's very first day at the zoo.. FUN DAY!!! My brother Shane and his wife invited us to come with them and their kids. It had been ages since I myself had gone and I was thrilled to see how Beck would react to the animals.  He seemed to have a pretty good time the weather was GREAT it was more overcast than anything so it wasn't hot at all. The animals were not as active as we would have liked.. I am guessing they had just eaten their lunch and wanted to sleep the rest of the afternoon (can you blame them) :) but all in all it was fun to get out and Beck really seemed enthused with the animals that were actually active.  I think one of Beck's favorite parts of the day was the mini train ride around a small portion of the park he thought that was pretty neat. He sat wide eyed as we went under a dark tunnel and came up close and personal with buffalo.  After the zoo we all headed down to the Mayan Restaurant for dinner which was just as much fun. What a great place to take kids. Beck was completely entertained the entire time..He was even kind enough to offer one of the diver's a cheerio :) This was such a good day.. Thanks to Shane, Chels , and their kids for having us join them..

Beckham's One Year Milestone's

I swear this little guy is getting bigger by the day.  I am literally shocked that an entire year has already passed by. Beckham is such a GREAT kid.  He is doing VERY well for his age. Just a minor recap for ya...Beck rolled at just 3 months of age, army crawled around 5 months, he was full on crawling by 6 months, standing up to things by 7, and full on walking by 10 months of age. Oh and not to mention climbing everything in sight around 9 months.  We just had his 12 month appt. 3 weeks ago and Beck shocked the doctor with his newest vocabulary. As the doctor came over to listen to Beck's heart Beck pointed to his stethascope and asked "what is that"? Needless to say the doctor was very surprised and said Beck was definitely ahead of the game. As far as his height and weight were concerned. Beck was about 19 lbs he is still very little for his age he is only in the 4% for his weight but the doc said he is fine as long as he is gaining instead of losing and for the simple fact that Beck eats non stop - he is just a super busy boy and am sure he runs all his calories off by the end of the day. His height was still going strong at the average 70-80% so that is a good sign.. He did extremely well with his shots and managed to avoid a fever completely so I was very grateful for that.  As far as everything else is concerned Beck is doing fabulous..A few more of beck's latest phrases include..Who is it?, num num, nanna, night night, and stop. WOW!! I am so proud of him and cannot wait for the months to come.  One more thing I am not about to leave unmentioned is the arrival of Beck's 7 tooth..YAY!!! WE love you son. Never forget that!!!

EATING THE CAKE..YUMMMMY!!!

Okay okay..I am a bit behind schedule as far as posting to the blog. I will try to be more on top of that here in the future. As you can see Beckham had a BLAST destroying his very own birthday cake, in fact he didn't even think twice about getting his hands dirty (now that is a sign of a true boy). He had been a little sick that entire week prior to his party and still wasn't 100% better by his b-day hence the clothes and bib. I would have loved to have him in a diaper for this cake crushing adventure but all in all it did save me some clean up time afterwards. 

BECKHAMS BIRTHDAY MELTDOWN

You can't officially have a party without the crying part..right?!?! Poor little guy had been sick with a REALLY bad cold virus all week long and still wasn't feeling 100% at his party so he had a mini meltdown after opening a few presents..I think he was just a little overwhelmed, but most of all wanted to run and play..Forget presents and pictures!!!!

BECKHAM TURNS ONE...4.19.09

Well all..You guessed it. My little man is no longer my little infant anymore. He has officially hit the ONE year mark. It honestly feels like just yesterday that they placed him in my arms for the first time. He melted ours hearts the moment we laid eyes on him. What an amazing adventure..And when I say adventure I mean EVERY word of it!! He has brought SO much excitement and love into our lives and is truly our little blessing. His birthday party turned out WONDERFUL..All the family and friends were there to celebrate the big day with us and made it a birthday to remember for the little monkey :) He still wasn't quite sure of the presents..he liked eating the paper more than playing with the gifts but all in all a great time..
