BABY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS!!! CAN'T YOU SEE THE EXCITEMENT IN THIS LITTLE GUYS FACE =)

It's Christmas time. YAY!! Beckham had his first this year and was spoiled rotten by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents. As any 8 month old would react.. He liked the wrapping paper better than any present inside.LOL. He wasn't quite sure what was going on but he had a good time playing with all the boxes and climbing over piles of presents.  We had such a great time this year.. We spent christmas eve at grandpa and grandma Dicksons house with all the family and had a blast.  We had an amazing dinner, opened presents, talked, let the kids play, and then headed to the cemetary to visit James's (Darren's brother) grave.  What a fun night...Christmas morning we headed to the grandpa and grandma Bennett's house for yummy breakfast and more fun with the family.  Beckham was spoiled for the second time and again enjoyed the garbage more than gifts.. We had a blast at my mom's playing games, eating, playing more games, eating.. As you can see we were fed well.. You got to love Christmas.. My dad and mom bought Rockband World Tour which provided all day entertainment. You would never guess it but we have quite a talented family;) On the way home Darren and I ran into that large snow storm that came through Utah.  It was a complete white out and you literally couldn't see more than 5-10 feet in front of your car.. to top it off none of the roads were plowed and they had a good 5-10 inches on them.  We did not get to far from my parents when we decided it would be to dangerous to try and drive the hour home.  Many roads were already closed at this time and several reported accidents.  On the way back to my parents house we came across a young girl off the road.  Darren got out and to lend a hand and ended up spending one and a half hours out in the blizzard getting people out of the snow.  Thanks to him, my dad, my brother and a large tractor everyone ended up out of the snow banks and into warm homes.  What an exciting evening.  Thanks to my mom and dad we got a good nights rest and were able to head home in the morning.  All in all we had a great year.. Thanks to everyone.. We love you all..

I just loved this photo of my baby Beckham.. Isn't he handsome =) He just turned 8 months old on December 19, 2008.  He is getting so big and has a personality all his own.  He climbs, I mean literally climbs everything in sight now so as you can imagine he is getting baby battle wounds left and right. EEk.. I have been told that is how little boys are.. At this rate I may have gray hair by the time he is 2. He stands up to walls, furniture, and toys all by himself. He even received his first 2 teeth.. He had quite a seventh month of life.. We are so proud of him and are excited for each new adventure.. I am sure he will be walking in no time. We love you baby boy..

See what my baby Beckham is up to now... He is so funny.. He is standing up to things all the time now however, he doesn't get to that position by himself yet so he tends to kneel on his knees frustrated til I help him a bit :) In pic #2 he is showing you how much he loves his shoes he won't let them go not even for a second his daddy picked him up and he held on for dear life he doesn't wear them often so when he gets the chance he is thrilled.. Pic #3 is his new favorite play area he likes to take his little toys under his exersaucer and play.. As you can tell he keeps us smiling all the time :)

I am a few days behind on posting my baby's first attempt at crawling on his knees.  November 24, 2008 was the big day!! Darren and I were shocked as we looked over at him up on his knees ready to go. Wow, he is getting so big and so independent.  What a determined little man....
